Meet the Heart Behind Quiet Little Paintings
Becky Fox is a contemporary painter whose current body of work explores intimate still life.
Her earlier work was rooted in fine art portraiture, grounded in formal training in oil and watercolor. This series represents a rediscovery — a shift from studying the human face to observing the quiet presence of everyday objects.
Working within the margins of motherhood and a full professional life, she is drawn to layered, restrained processes that allow her to paint in focused windows of time.
Her still lifes reflect a contemplative approach to light, texture, and atmosphere — preserving moments of stillness that might otherwise pass unnoticed.
She creates in small, intentional releases from her home studio in West Virginia.
